Instructor JROTC (Officer Air Force)

About the Position: This is a Full time 0395 Instructor JROTC (Officer, Air Force) position for AFNORTH Middle High School, located in Brunssum, Netherlands. Federal employees in Brunssum are currently entitled to receive a 42% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This position is covered by the Federal Education Association bargaining unit.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Developing long-rang lesson plans, Selecting, adapting and modifying teaching methods/materials. Counseling and motivating student standards. Collaborating with other teachers, parents, and guardians on matters for students. Using Classroom ongoing instructions and learning environments. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Minimum Education Requirement: Officer - Air Force JROTC Officer Instructors must possess a bachelor's degree. Instructors must also hold a Advanced AFJROTC Instructor certification to teach JROTC from United States Air Force (USAF) headquarters services department. AND Specialized Experience: Must meet one of the following pathways outlined in 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps: A. Retired Air Force Officer whose qualifications are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; B. Air Force Officer who are separated with an honorable discharge within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of service and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; or C. Air Force Officer who are active participating members of the selected reserve at the time of application, for purposes of section 101(d) of this title, and have not yet reached retirement eligibility and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment. **NOTE** Only Air Force Officer Applicants are eligible.
